Wilkes takes two weeks straight for contest

Hershel Wilkes for the WIN on week 3( previously from being closed for Labor Day)  and 4.  

Local picker Hershel Wilkes outguessed his competitors two weeks in a row in the Carroll County News-Leader’s 2022 Football Contest. 

Wilkes, a regular at the top of the leaderboard in the contest, earned himself two more chances at the grand prize at the end of the season, when the first-place contestant from each week will be entered in for a $250 prize drawing. 

Don’t think you’ll win? Well it pays to play anyway. A second drawing from all the contestants throughout the season will be held with a smaller cash prize. The more weeks you play, the more times your name is in the hat. 

Check out this week’s contest on page ________ and submit your entry to the News-Leader office at 84 Elks Lodge Lane before 4 p.m. on Friday for your chance to win.
