Mustangs off to a rough start on the diamond

The Huntingdon High School Mustang baseball team got off to a rough start to the season as the bats were silent in the first week of action.

The Mustangs lost to Henry County 10-0, Camden 7-3 and Gordonsville 7-3 in the Tennessee River Classic at Camden.

The Mustangs only managed nine hits in those three games, starting the season 0-3.

In the loss to Henry County, Sam Parish was the losing pitcher and Grant Bartholomew, Javon Pritchard, and Cade Wood all had singles.

In the 7-3 loss to Camden, Hunter Britt was 1-2 and drove in two runs, and Bartholomew had a single.

In the 7-3 loss to Gordonsville, Blake Bradley took the loss on the mound, Parish was 1-3 with a 2B, Bradley was 1-3, and Colton Bush was 1-3.
