McKENZIE POLICE REPORTS

Criminal Impersonation Patrolman Sean Beck initiated a traffic stop on Friday afternoon, November 25, on a vehicle for driving without headlights on the corner of Walnut Avenue and Main Street.
Beck made contact with the driver and smelled an odor believed to be marijuana coming from the vehicle.
He asked if the vehicle had any drugs or weapons.
The driver stated there was a weapon in the vehicle. While identifying all of the persons in the vehicle, Tristan Hood, 20, of McKenzie, gave a false name to Beck. Based on prior dealings with Hood, Beck knew he had given a false name due to having multiple active warrants. Beck contacted police dispatch to confirm Hood still had active warrants which he did.
Hood was placed under arrest for warrants out of Carroll County including Resisting Arrest, two counts of Failure to Appear, and Violation of Probation along with a warrant for Failure to Appear out of Weakley County. He was additionally charged with Criminal Impersonation.
Driving on Suspended/Revoked License
According to a report filed by Officer Darren Davis, he conducted a traffic stop on Cedar Avenue on Monday night, November 15, on a vehicle for having a headlight out. The driver, Jimmy Condor, 48, of Lavinia, was found to have a suspended drivers license for failure to file insurance certification. Condor was cited for Driving on Suspended License First Offense and a Light Law Violation.
Aggravated Assault/Domestic Assault
The McKenzie Police Department received a call regarding a theft at a Stonewall Street residence. Gerald Fuzzell, 63, of McKenzie advised that he had some clothes taken and gave a name of a suspected person. Fuzzell called back later stating that the suspected person was back at his house. Officer Trenton Ruddy responded and questioned him with the suspect advising him Fuzzell was drunk. He further advised that Fuzzell’s wife showed him bruises stating that Fuzzell had done it.
Ruddy spoke with Fuzzell’s wife asking her what happened to her arm. She advised she got into an altercation with Fuzzell with him striking her in the arms, chest, and legs repeatedly. Fuzzell was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Domestic Assault, and Filing a False Report.
Driving Under the Influence
On Monday morning, November 14, Officer Trenton Ruddy was dispatched to a retail business on Highland Drive regarding a possible accident. Lisa F. Barnhill, 53, of Hollow Rock advised that she was getting out of her car when it kept rolling and struck another car in the parking lot. Ruddy and Sgt. Kyle Beauchamp observed that Barnhill appeared to be having trouble keeping her eyes open and had slurred speech. Barnhill admitted to taking Xanax prescribed to her. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, she was arrested and charged for DUI First Offense and transported to Carroll County Jail.
