Drug Possession
On August 7, 2022, Mr. Charles Anthony Tillman, 34, of Huntingdon was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a light law violation. During a consent search of the vehicle and their person, Mr. Tillman had a syringe in his shorts pocket and his girlfriend had a clear plastic container concealed in her bra that contained a bag with 0.8 grams of methamphetamines. Mr. Tilman stated that the container found on his girlfriend belonged to him. He was cited into Carroll County Sessions Court for simple possession of Schedule II Meth.

DUI
On July 27, 2022, Bobby Gene Carroll, 37, of Huntingdon was involved in a two vehicle crash on Lexington Street in Huntingdon. Mr. Carroll was in physical control of a white 2013 Chrysler Sedan that slammed into a car trailer as the vehicle was pulling into a residential driveway. Upon approaching Mr. Carroll’s vehicle, a strong odor of Marijuana was present coming from the inside of the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the defendant’s vehicle, 2.2 grams of marijuana was located in the center console, along with a pill bottle that was labeled for Prednisone, but actually contained 7 out of the 10 MG Hydrocodine pills. Field sobriety test were not performed due to Mr. Carroll possibly had injuries from the accident, as well as him having a prosthetic leg. The defendant did submit a blood sample for testing.

At approximately 9:05 P.M. on August 5, 2022, Officer Michael Verner conducted a traffic stop on Nathanel Noah, 35, of Mckenzie, who was in physical control of a red 2022 CC Scooter (MoPed) on Veterans Drive North in Huntingdon. A computer check with dispatch confirmed that Mr. Noah’s license was revoked out of Carroll County General Session Court in January 2021 for failure to comply with financial responsibility. Mr. Noah did not have insurance on the scooter that he was operating and was cited for driving on a revoked license (1st offense) and financial responsibility.

Multiple Charges
On August 7 around 7:30 P.M, Officer Michael Verner conducted a traffic stop for expired registration on Anthony Cole, 47 out of Huntingdon. Mr. Cole was in physical control of a 2003 Gray Nissan Altima on Old Stage Road in Huntingdon, a computer check ran from dispatch confirmed that Mr. Cole’s license was revoked out of Carroll County with one prior offense in 2016. Mr. Cole was also cited for window tint violation and financial responsibility.

Public Intoxication
On August 11, Officer Labe Ezell observed Oprah Anders, 66, of Huntingdon was sitting on the front porch of a residence on Browning Avenue in Huntingdon. While Officer Ezell was engaging in conversation with Anders, her speech was erratic and incoherent. Her eyes were bloodshot and watery, and while she was walking she was unsteady on her feet. Ms. Anders stated that she had drunk a few shots and had one beer and was walking on the railroad tracks trying to find her cellphone, then she had stated that she was trying to find her walet, which was in her hands. Then Ms. Anders had stated that she was trying to find a ride to the hospital, Ms. Anders was a threat to herself and the public safety. Ms. Anders was taken into custody for public intoxication and transported to the Carroll County Jail.

Multiple Charges
Officer Labe Ezell conducted a traffic stop on August 3, due to a vehicle’s license plate lights not working. Sabrina Jordan, 41, of Huntingdon was in control of a gray 2008 Chevy Impala, during a consent search of Mrs. Jordans vehicle, two crack pipes and a spoon with white residue that tested positive for cocaine were located in Mrs. Jordans purse. Once inside of Carroll County Jail, Correctional Officer Williams discovered a white plastic bottle that Mrs. Jordan had concealed inside of her persons’ private area. Inside of the bottle were two small white rocks that tested positive for cocaine. Mrs. Jordan was charged with Violation of Light Law, Simple Possession of Schedule II Cocaine, Drug Paraphernalia, and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility.

Theft Under $1000
On August 6th, around 8:30 A.M, Officers responded to Walmart in Huntingdon in reference to a thief of merchandise. Upon arrival Officer Ethan Parham spoke with Walmart Loss Prevention Officer Joe Lowe, Lowe advised he had video of a woman identified as Virgina Sleeth, 49, of Huntingdon, taking multiple items on different dates without paying for them. In the video Officer Parham observed Ms.Sleeth using the self checkout. In the video, Ms. Sleeth was seen purposely not scanning certain items, put them in her grocery bag and leave the store without paying for them. Items seen in the video not being scanned consisted of Ground beef, oreos, hotdogs, chocolates, ribeye steaks, and blueberries all on different dates and times. After Officer Parham viewed the video he met with Ms. Sleeth, he advised her to meet with Joe Lowe at Walmart in person. On August 6th around 12 oclock noon, Officer Parham met with Ms. Sleeth and Joe Lowe at Walmart, Officer Parham then cited Ms. Sleeth for Theft of Property/Conduct involving merchandise. Items totalled to $111.74 all together.

On August 1st, a traffic stop was conducted by Officer Labe Ezell near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and East Main Street in Huntingdon. Jennifer Ann Knight, 45, of Huntingdon was stopped for expired registration, during a consent search of Ms. Knight’s vehicle, a black sunglasses case was discovered that contained a syringe and a clear pipe that contained meth residue. Officer Ezell also located a small bag inside of the ashtray that contained one gram of methamphetamines. Ms. Knight was charged with Simple Possession of Schedule II Meth and was cited for Drug Paraphernalias, Registration Violation, and Financial Responsibility.

Drug Possession
On August 2nd, Officer Labe Ezell conducted a traffic stop for a Light Law Violation, Driver Richard Lee Wyrick, 55, of Huntingdon was charged. Officer Ezell stated upon approaching Mr. Wyrick, he observed Mr. Wyrick dropped a clear glass pipe out of his pants pocket onto the ground. Inside of the pipe was 0.9 grams of methamphetamines, Mr. Wyrick was then transported to the Carroll County Jail and charged with Simple Possession of Schedule II Meth and Drug Paraphernalia.
