Multiple Charges
Alex Paul Travelstead, 22, of Trezevant was charged with driving on suspended license: first offense, felony evading arrest, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest.
On November 19, Deputy Scott attempted to stop a vehicle for violation of display of plate, the vehicle failed to stop. The driver almost hit a McKenzie patrol vehicle, then ran off Hwy. 22, allowing the driver, Alex Travelstead, time to flee. Travelstead’s license was revoked with no reinstatement date out of Weakly County in 2019.
The following day a warrant was issued to Alex Travelstead at his home address for his arrest. Upon officers arrival, Travelstead became aggressive to the officers. In an act of safety for officers, Deputy Hamilton tazed Travelstead. He was taken into custody on November 20.

Vandalism
On November 20, Officer Winberry responded to a call in reference to a property on Lakewood Lake
Lane being vandalized. The owner stated someone took the vinyl siding and cut several different pipes from the property. The total estimate of the damage caused to the property is $750.

Driving on Revoked
Carlos Ray Wright, 45, of McKenzie was placed under arrest for driving on on a revoked license.
On November 19, an officer responded to a call in reference to a male walking down Hwy. 77 who was unsteady on his feet. The officer was able to locate an individual near a van, Carlos Wright. Wright was parked on the shoulder off the Highway. A computer check showed Wright had a revoked driver’s license.
He was placed under arrest.

Violation of Order of Protection
Cornelius Montreze Tuggles, 45, of Trezevant was charged with a violation of an order of protection on
November 15.
Deputy Scott stopped Haley Baugh in order to serve her a warrant. The officer questioned the passenger identified as Cornelius Tuggles. Dispatch confirmed that an order of protection Tugles and Baugh was active. Tuggles was arrested on a violation of order of protection.

Move Over Law
Mary M. Dement, 49, of Hollow Rock was cited for driving on suspended: #1 and violation of operation of vehicles of authorized emergency vehicle’s the “move over law”.
On November 18, a vehicle drove past a traffic stop failing to use caution or reduce speed, almost hitting three officers. The vehicle was stopped due to the violation, the driver identified as Mary Dement, also had a suspended driver’s license.
