Carroll County General Sessions Court convened September 7 and 8 with new Judge Michael King presiding. The following cases were heard.
Cases that were bound over to the Grand Jury of the Carroll County Circuit Court include:
• Alicia Farrar, Broad Street, Hollow Rock, bound over to Grand Jury on charge of Contraband-Intoxicant/Drugs in a Penal Facility; dismissed, Probation Violation.
• John Bandon Hill, Hillcrest Circle, Horn Lake, Miss., bound over on Assault of a First Responder; Schedule II Drugs-Meth; Evading Arrest Flight-Vehicle; Reckless Driving; Reckless Endangerment-Vehicle/Felony; Criminal Simulation, Vandalism, Casual Exchange, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on Suspended License, Resisting Arrest.
• James Edward Williams, Buena Vista Road, Huntingdon, bound over on Schedule II Drugs: Cocaine, Schedule IV and VI Drugs – Manufacturing, Deliver, Sell or Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Domestic Assault, Vandalism.
The following cases resulted in a guilty verdict or plea.

• Diana Lynn Ballentine, Park Circle, McKenzie, DUI-First Offense, $350 fine, 11/29 jail suspended to 48 hours, supervised probation; dismissed, Casual Exchange, Simple Possession, Implied Consent.
• Christopher Bell, Highway 79, Atwood, guilty, DUI-First Offense, $350 fine, 48 hours jail, supervised probation for 11/29, not to drive for one year; dismissed, Simple Possession, Implied Consent, Driving While Suspended, Light Law Violation.
• Marcos Hernandez, Hemlock Street, Bruceton, guilty, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, $150 fine, 11/29 jail suspended to 60 days, supervised probation; dismissed, Simple Possession.
• Ronnie Hayhew, II, High Street, Huntingdon, guilty, DUI-Third Offense, $1,100 fine, 11/29 jail suspended except 120 days; not to drive in Tennessee, complete DUI school and drug and alcohol assessment, can be furloughed to in-patient rehab after 65 days; dismissed, Driving While Revoked, Simple Possession, Seat Belt Violation, Registration Expired, Violation of Financial Responsibility.
• Roman Gregory Melnikoff, Nix Road, Alpharetta, Georgia, guilty, DUI-First Offense, 11/29 jail, suspended except 48 hours, 11/27 supervised probation, cannot have animals during period of probation.
• Shantea Late Bond, Woodlawn Cove, Jackson, guilty, DUI-First Offense, $350 fine, 11/29 jail suspended except 10 days, supervised probation, not to drive for one year; dismissed, Driving on Revoked, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Following too Closely.

The following cases were adjudicated through Pre-Trial Diversion.
