William Burl Chandler 1931-2020

Mr. William Burl Chandler,
89, passed away on Friday,
April 3, at his home in
Hollow Rock.
Mr. Chandler was born on
April 2, 1931, in Huntingdon,
to the late John Burl
Chandler and Estelle Dolie
Bridges Chandler. He was a
retired truck driver of
Reploge Enterprise, a U.S.
Army Veteran and a Baptist
in faith. Besides his parents,
he was preceded in death by a
brother, Adrian Chandler. He
was known by many as the
watermelon man.
He is survived by one sister,
Sudie White of Huntingdon;
one sister-in-law, Martha
Chandler of Huntingdon; two
daughters: Brenda Carter and
David Thompson of
Huntingdon and Pam
(Michael) Moore of
Bruceton; one son, Kenny
(Barbara) Chandler of
Hollow Rock; his companion,
Rita Chandler of Hollow
Rock; two step-daughters:
Regina Bailey and Linda Gail
Powers of Huntingdon; seven
grandchildren: Shelia
Seaung, Marla Blaski,
Candice Atkinson, Kim
Chandler, Bryan Cook,
Sandy Kinter, April Kortvely;
22 great-grandchildren and 1
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on
Monday, April 6, at 1 p.m., in
the Bruceton Funeral Home
Chapel. Bro. Scott Carter
officiated. The pallbearers

were: Jordan
Neuenschwander, David
Thompson, Bryan Cook,
Michael Moore, Trey
Montgomery, Shane Blaski
and Dale Long. Interment
followed at McAuley
Cemetery.
