William Steven “Steve” Peery, 61, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon with Steve Galimore officiating. Burial followed at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Peery was born Sept. 28, 1958, in Kingsport, to the late William H. Peery and Margaret F. Jones Peery.  He was a retired administrator for the Huntingdon Special School District, served in the Army National Guard on active duty and was a member of Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris. Some of his favorite hobbies were his church, family, working on his farm, gardening, watching Tennessee Volunteers, and spending time with his Yorkies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Morgan F. McMinn.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rosa Peery; four daughters, Brigitte (Porsche) McClerking, of Huntingdon, Debra (Christy) Potts, of Martin, Kathryn Randolph, of Cleveland, and DeEtt Dennis, of Dresden; a son, Charles (Kylie) Peery, of Union City; 14 grandchildren, and two Yorkie fur babies, Gracie and Gabe.

Pallbearers who served were Mike Henson, Tim McClerking, Johnathan Kee, Eric Blount, David Harmon, and Randy Crossett.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to National Kidney Association or Tennessee Valley Community Church Mission Fund, in memory of Steve Peery, 2500 East Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242.
