Volunteer clean-up day set for Saturday

Carroll County has scheduled a Volunteer Clean-Up day for the tornado victims Saturday, March 14, 2020.  Volunteers should meet at the Carroll County Civic Center, 201 Mustang Drive, Huntingdon.  

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and volunteers will be transported to the scenes.  You will be required to sign a waiver and minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  No child care will be provided for this event.  

It is recommended you wear appropriate attire and proper protective equipment (gloves, good shoes, etc.).  Volunteers will be clearing debris and placing it on the side of the road.  Recycled material will be separated and placed beside the road.  Permission will have to be obtained from the homeowners before going onto their property.  If you are a homeowner and would like to go ahead and give us permission, please call the Carroll County EMA at 731-986-1912.  Volunteers will need to just show up.
