West Carroll High School senior football players Jack Barrow and Jesse Mount recently signed up to play football at Bethel University.
Both athletes inked their intentions during a Feb. 3 signing ceremony in the West Carroll gymnasium.
West Carroll head football coach Josh Wolfe shared some comments on both players and told about some of their athletic accomplishments.
A four-year player and three-year starter at tight end and linebacker, Jack was named All-Region 7A in 2019 and 2020, the Tennessee Coaches Association All-State Team in 2020, and was selected for the West Tennessee All-Star Game. During his high school career, Barrow amassed 63 receptions, eight touchdowns, 12 two-point conversions, 211 tackles, and six sacks.
Also a four-year player and a two-year starter on the offensive line, Jessie made All-Region during his junior and senior seasons, was a 2020 TSWA All-State preseason selection, and was also picked for the West TN All-Star Game.
Wolfe described Jack as a very hard worker and said that Jesse “has grown to be a really outstanding football player.”
“We’re losing some really good football players and Bethel is gaining some of our best,” said Wolfe.
Jack is the 17-year-old son of Reece and Susan Barrow, and Jesse is the 18-year-old son of Lorrie Crowe and Arnold Mounts.
