Shooting in Cedar Grove area prompts emergency response

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 5 pm Tuesday that someone had been shot on Moss Creek Rd. In the Cedar Grove area. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene.

When contacted about 9 pm, Carroll County Sheriff Andy Dickson said he was unable to give out the names of the person shot or the person responsible for the shooting since the next of kin of the person shot had not been notified.

According to a reliable source, the victim is deceased. No names have been released as of 9:30 p.m.
