Even though this chocolate cake is made with a store- bought cake mix, other ingredients make it one of the best tasting cakes ever.
1 box of Betty Crocker Devil’s Food Cake
3 eggs
1 cup ice-cold water
1 cup mayonnaise
2 cans of Betty Crocker chocolate frosting
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Grease two 9-inch pans
In a large bowl, add cake mix, eggs, water and mayo. Put on low speed for 30 seconds. Then increase the s peed to high and mix for five minutes.
Pour the batter evenly over the two cake pans
Then bake for 30 or 32 minutes. Take a toothpick and insert it in the middle of the cake to see if done. If it comes out clean, the cake is done and should be taken from the oven.
Allow the cakes to cool for at least five minutes before removing from the pan and letting them cool on a wire rack for an hour.
Put one cake on a plate and spread frosting. Then place the second cake on top of the first cake and frost. Enjoy.
