The collection of local option sales taxes in Carroll County netted over half a million in revenue during the month of June.
According to figures from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, a total of $513,505 was collected for June in the county.
After the state took out over $5,700 for administrative costs, that still left a net of $507,728 in local revenue.
Huntingdon led the county’s eight municipalities for June collections, netting a total of $229,237, followed by McKenzie at $158,437.
Net June collections in other local towns and cities included Atwood at $28,541, Bruceton at $19,101, Clarksburg at $15,048, Trezevant at $10,513, Hollow Rock at $5,624, and McLemoresville at $2,255.
A net total of $38,971 was collected during June in areas of the county outside municipal boundaries.
