McKenzie Police Reports

•Brooke N. Walker, 39, of Campbell Lane, McKenzie, was charged with driving under the influence; stopping, standing or parking in a prohibited place; and violation of implied consent on January 23 just after midnight.

According to the report, Officer Brandon Leek was patrolling and noticed a white car parked on the wrong side of Cedar Street and a female behind the steering wheel. Attempts to awaken her with the light from a flashlight and knocking on the vehicle were unsuccessful at first. Walker refused to participate in the DUI roadside screening and refused the administration of blood-alcohol tests. She was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Vandalism

•Gregorio Gonzalez, of Euclid Avenue, McKenzie, reported a motorist struck and damaged his roadside mailbox.

Officer Dalton Raspberry filed the report on January 21. Officer Raspberry found what is believed to be the passenger-side mirror of a vehicle that hit the mailbox. The mirror was Velvac brand and is believed to have been damaged on the suspect vehicle.
