Mark Steven Cornell

1955-2019

Mr. Mark Steven Cornell, 63, of Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating the service. Interment followed in Jamison Cemetery.

Pallbearers who serve were Bronson Berry, Bobby Bradley, Lee Cook, Kevin McArthur, Alan Berry, and Dakota Berry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Berquist, Louis Mendez, Gene Porter, and Robert Kowalski.

Mr. Cornell was born October 25, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Darrell Guiman Cornell and Helen Idell Surfus Cornell. He was a truck driver for Reeves Bro. Trucking and graduated high school from Custer High School in Milwaukee where he played football. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Jim Cornell, John Cornell, Darrell Cornell, William Cornell, Patrick Cornell, Terry Lee Cornell and a sister, Mary Jane Maldinado.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. Cornell, his children, Shelly McArthur (Donald) of Huntingdon, Danny Shepherd of Ripley, Kent Shepherd (Melissa) of Clarksburg, Brad Shepherd of Camden, four brothers, Richard Cornell (Joan), Michael Cornell (Jean), Tom Cornell and Robert Cornell (Renae). He also leaves six grandchildren, Lauren Cook (Lee), K. C. McArthur (Amanda), Rusty Shepherd, Amber Shepherd, Barrett Shepherd, Charlie Shepherd and five great grandchildren, Sophie, Jackson, Aubrey, Carter and Brittaney.
