Nearly $600,000 netted in September
According to figures from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, a total of $600,468 in local option sales tax revenue was collected in Carroll County during the month of September.
And after the state slices off $6,755 in administrative fees, that leaves a net of $593,713 for county and municipal governments.
Out of the county’s eight municipalities, Huntingdon tallied the most in September with a net of $238,430.
Net monthly totals in other county towns and cities included $177,061 in the Carroll County portion of McKenzie, $35,581 in Atwood, $22,207 in Bruceton, $17,505 in Trezevant, $16,656 in Clarksburg, $5,892 in Hollow Rock, and $2,633 in McLemoresville.
A net of $77,748 was collected in non-municipal portions of the county during September.
