Jerry Neal Smith, 89, of Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, at his home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens with Johnny Burns officiating.
Mr. Smith was born June 24, 1931 in Huntingdon, to the late Ernest L. Smith and Rachel (Reynolds) Smith. He was the owner of Smith’s Service Center, a member of Eastview Baptist Church and was a National Guard Veteran.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Smith; two sisters, Jean Wilson and Wilma McKinney; and brother, Ernest R. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Smith; one daughter, Barbara Tyson of Huntingdon; two sons, David (Pamela) Smith of Seattle, Washington, and Ricky Smith of Cedar Grove; two brothers, Murray Smith of Nashville and Marshall (Faye) Smith of Camden. He also leaves six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Dennis Bush, Jeff Carter, Gary Wilson, Larry Wilson, Max Anderson, Allen Kee.
Honorary pallbearers who served were L T Kee and Willard Sullivan.
