Humboldt woman dies after near drowning incident

A young Humboldt woman, Toni Gail Manuel, 23, who was revived after nearly drowning at the Carroll County
1,000 Acre Recreational Lake on June 13, has died.
She died at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital on June 16.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department received a call around 4 p.m. that someone was under water. Two nurses
at the scene performed CPR on her until the ambulance arrived.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. June 27 at Humboldt Church of God.
She leaves a young son, her parents and two brothers.
Medina Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
