The Huntingdon Police Department is now partnering with Cash Saver Supermarket in Huntingdon to make sure that people in town can still receive groceries and essential items if they are unable to travel or are at a high risk during this unprecedented time.
According to Huntingdon Public Safety Director Walter Smothers, persons meeting that criteria who reside within the city limits can call the Police Department at 731-986-5310 and get registered for free grocery delivery. They can then call Cash Saver and place their order.
Payment must be made by debit or credit card. After the order is filled by Cash Saver personnel, they will call the police department and an officer will pick up the purchase and deliver it to the door of the resident.
“HPD wants to thank manager Jackie Streetman and the employees at Cash Saver for helping provide this service during the COVID-19 crisis,” said Smothers.
