Dallas Smith

1947-2019

Mr. Dallas Franklin Smith, 72, of McLemoresville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Smith was born October 10, 1947 in Huntingdon, to the late Joe and Gertie (Holladay) Smith. He was a member of McLemoresville Baptist Church, was a retired conductor for the CSX Railroad, and was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joanna Dill and a grandson, Justin Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Smith whom he married Aug. 11, 1983, two daughters, Shannon Newsome (Kevin) of McLemoresville and Keisha Smith of Hermitage; two sons, Brent Smith (Loretta) of Huntingdon and Michael Allen of Aldie, Va.; a brother, Clyman Smith (Naomi) of Nashville.  He also leaves eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
