Craig Curtis of Cedar Grove brought down this dandy 14-point buck this past week on the family farm. Now 33, he’s been deer hunting since he was 10, and this one has the most points of any he’s killed, he said.
Already this year, Curtis has killed a buck and a doe. He killed his first buck, a seven pointer, when he was ten or eleven.
“I saw this one come out in the field and I got around where I could shoot him,” said Curtis. “I was nervous because he ran off in the woods after I shot him.”
He was using a 270 rifle.
He brought the deer to Kendall’s Deer Processing in Huntingdon with its head saved for mounting.
He has two sons, Cody, 9, and Craydon, 2, and is already taking his oldest deer hunting.
