Christopher L. Heuss

Christopher Lastatte Heuss, 22, of Huntingdon, passed away on Tuesday March 17, at his residence. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 29, at 1 p.m., at the Yuma Community Center located on Old School House Road in Yuma with Jacob Harris of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church will be officiating the service.  Mike Heuss will be delivering the eulogy. The family will accept friends from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. After the service, a meal will be provided. If possible, please call 414-758-6592 to let us know if you are able to attend.  

Mr. Heuss was born Nov. 16, 1997, to Michelle Whitney, of Lake Mills, Wisc., and the late Jeff Heuss. Chris was born in Gallatin and lived in Portland. Then Chris moved, along with his parents, to Delavan, Wisc. for a year then to Huntingdon in October 1999. He worked at Dollar Tree in Huntingdon and was going to the University of Memphis-Lambuth Campus in Jackson. He was taking classes toward his BA in Photojournalism.  During his free time, Chris enjoyed hanging out with his friends. From a very young age Chris loved cars and could tell you what kind it was.  When his mom had to take him to work at Advance Auto Parts because there was no one to watch him, Chris would impress his mom's co-workers.  All the workers at Advance Auto Parts loved Chris.  In fact, everyone who met Chris feel in love with him.  He had such a loving caring spirit.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Heuss.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandfather and step-grandmother, Harry (Sherry) Whitney, of Catalina, Ariz.; his grandmother, Terry O'Connell, of Bethpage; uncles, Mike (Traci) Heuss, of Huntingdon, and Budd (Gretchen) Whitney, of Stanley, N.D.: an aunt, Sue Heuss, of Westmoreland; and many cousins, great aunts and uncles who all loved him dearly.
