CERTAINTY

  God’s affirmation, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1), assures us that everything began with God, continues in God, and is totally dependent upon God, that God is eternal and so great that we can never completely comprehend Him, that He made us in His image, that He dwells within us in His Holy Spirit, that He loves us, that we can never escape Him, that we are sacred to Him, and that He comes to us, reveals Himself, saves us, and gives us eternal life in Jesus Christ
