Between 2020 and 2023, Carroll County experienced a population increase of between 4% and 6% in the 25-to-44 age group, according to Site Selection Magazine. Among 21 counties in West Tennessee, only Fayette County had a higher percentage growth in this demographic.
Local sales tax collections in Carroll County reached a record $9,643,755 in 2024, an increase from $9,268,142 in 2023. The local option sales tax generates approximately $4.8 million annually for Carroll County schools.
In 2024, five new industrial plants were announced in West Tennessee, excluding Shelby County. One of those projects, Intocast, was announced in Carroll County. Intocast is the second-largest job creator among the five projects and one of only two plants expected to employ more than 100 workers.
