It appearing to the Court for the affidavit filed in this cause that the whereabouts of the Defendant, Mae Jean Holland, are presently unknown and cannot be ascertained upon diligent inquiry, so that ordinary process cannot be served upon her. Therefore, this Order of Publication should be published in the Carroll County News-Leader newspaper located in Huntingdon,  Carroll County, Tennessee, as the best possible notice to the Defendant under the circumstances.

Defendant, Mae Jean Holland, is hereby required to appear and file an Answer with the Clerk and Master of the Carroll  County Chancery Court, 99 Court Square, Huntingdon, Tennessee, 38344 or otherwise defend against the Complaint to Quiet Title Pursuant on property previously owned by Mae Jean Holland located at 245 Miller Road, Huntingdon, Tennessee 38344 and to serve an answer to said Complaint by March 6, 2026, which is (30) days from the last day of publication of this notice, and send a copy of said Answer to Katherine N. NOTICE OF SUBSTITUTE

TRUSTEE'S SALE OF REAL ESTATE

WHEREAS, on the 7th day of October, 2021, by Deed of Trust recorded in the Register's Office of Carroll County, Tennessee, at Huntingdon, in Trust Deed Book 710, Page 624, ASHLEE MICHAEL YOUNG, conveyed the following described property in trust to W. KENT JONES, Trustee, to secure the payment of a Promissory Note in the original principal sum of One Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand and No/100 ($165,000.00) Dollars in favor of WANDA TOWNSEND; and

WHEREAS, WANDA TOWNSEND has appointed DWAYNE D. MADDOX, III, of Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee, as Substitute Trustee, and DWAYNE D. MADDOX, III is hereby vested with all the rights, powers and privileges of the original Trustee named in said Deed of Trust.  Said Appointment of Substitute Trustee is recorded in Trust Deed Book 761, Page 463 in the Register’s Office of Carroll County, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, said Deed of Trust provides that in the event of default of any of the conditions and/or covenants of said Deed of Trust, the entire indebtedness shall at the option of the holder and owner thereof become due and payable; and

This being the same property conveyed to Ashlee Michael Young by deed from Wanda Townsend dated October 7, 2021 and recorded in Deed Book 401, Page 099 in the Register’s Office of Carroll County, Tennessee. 

The street address of the property is believed to be 19230 West Main Street, Huntingdon, Tennessee 38344, but such address is not a part of the legal description and in the event of any discrepancy, said legal description herein shall control.

This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. 

OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES: Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service, Federal Tax Lien against Ashlee M. Young dated October 5, 2023 and recorded in Lien Book 023, Page 314 in the Register’s Office of Carroll County, Tennessee.  Notice required by 26 U.S.C. §7425(b) has been timely given to the United States.  The Sale of the land described above will be subject to the right of the United States to redeem the land as provided for in 26 U.S.C. §7425 (d)(1).

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF HUNTINGDON

 

Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated Section 13-7-203, notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Huntingdon Town Council on Tuesday, the 24th day of February, 2026 at 5:15 p.m. at Huntingdon Town Hall. 

The hearing is to receive public input on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of Huntingdon to rezone property (Tax Map 63, Parcel 49.03) on R.B. Wilson Drive and Chickasaw Drive owned by Ensley Dirtwork & Investment Properties LLC and Beaver Creek Management Group LLC, from H-M (Hospital-Medical) to R-1 (Low-Density Residential).  Full copies of the proposed amendment may be viewed in Huntingdon Town Hall during normal business hours.  All interested persons are invited to attend and comment.
