Shirley Crider 1935-2020

Mrs. Shirley Crider, 84, of Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, May 17, at Huntingdon Health and
Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 19, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of
Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Clint Ezell will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room on Monday, May 18, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
and Tuesday from noon until time of service. Pallbearers to serve are Chase Crider, Chad Wood, Cade
Wood, Mitchell Beal, Logan Collins, and Jim New.
Mrs. Crider was born October 23, 1935 to the late Will and Viola (Bush) Brandon. She was a member of
Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and an avid gardener. She retired from the cafeteria at Huntingdon
Primary School after more than twenty years.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wesley Crider, a grandson, Joe David Smith, two
sisters, Dorothy Beal and Allie Mae Wilson, and three brothers, Ray Brandon, Paul Brandon, and Johnny
Brandon.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia New (Jim) of Huntingdon, two sons, Ricky Crider (Angie) of
Huntingdon and David Crider (Tiffany) of Jackson. She also leaves two grandchildren, Brandi Collins
(James) and Cassie Wood (Chad) and eight great-grandchildren: Chase, Kaitlyn, Cade, Colt, Collyns,
Ashlyn, Logan, and Daegan.
