Shelia J. Risner

Shelia June Risner, 63 of Union City, passed away Monday, May 17, at Baptist Hospital in Union City. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 21, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.

Ms. Risner was born May 28, 1957 in Camden. She was employed by Jackson Energy Authority as a meter reader and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Holladay. She was a unique free-spirited soul, she loved to cook, and she loved music. She was the ultimate definition of strong and independent. We love you Mom; you don’t have to miss Nana anymore and tell Papa hi from us down here. We truly hope you meet all those angels you talked about. Forever remembered and always missed. We love you.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gayron Pinson Walker and Joe O’Neal Walker, one brother, Phillip Walker and one uncle, Mark Pinson.
She is survived by three daughters, Corie (Whitney) Risner, Patricia (James) Fletcher, Jennifer Danielle (Jeffrey) Collins, all of Jackson; six sisters, Janie (Steve) Parker of Lexington, Robbie Walker, Lydia Walker, both of Camden, Rebecca Walker of Illinois, Tammy Winebar and Donna Lee, both of Indiana, three brothers, Steve Walker of Camden, Johnny Walker (MaryAnn) of Michigan and Scott Lee of Indiana. She also leaves ten grandchildren, Bradley Harland, Megan Harland, Curtis Fletcher, Clare Rogers, Jeffrey Collins, Jr., Adrianna Smith, Travis Chavez, Elizabeth Risner, Noah Risner, two great-grandchildren, Makinley and Addison.
