Robert “Bob” Eugene Carnie, 76, of Huntingdon, passed away Monday, August 31, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Memorial services were held Friday, September 4, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon with Jacob Harris, Jimmy Furr, and Russ Wilkins officiating.
Mr. Carnie was born August 2, 1944, in Independence, Mo., to the late Charles K. Carnie and Alma D. Watson Carnie. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired slitter operator for Noranda, USA (Granges), and a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. Some of his favorite hobbies were going to yard sales, riding in his antique cars, fishing, and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Carnie.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Teresa Wolfe Carnie; three sons, Robert J. (Cindy) Carnie, of Hot Springs, Ark., Keith (Samantha) Carnie, of Hernando, Miss., and Justin Carnie, of Lexington; four daughters, Pam (Jeff) Lund, of Troutdale, Ore., currently living in Greece, Shannon (Brandon) Hunt, of West Memphis, Ark., Kimberly (Guy) Williams, of Clarksburg, and Lesley (Clark) White, of Huntingdon; a brother, Larry (Karen) Carnie, of Holt, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Ellen Carnie, of Plattsburg, Mo., mother-in-law, Betty Wolfe, of Huntingdon; two brothers-in-law, Dan (Dee) Wolfe, of Pittsburg, Penn., and Frank (Stephanie) Wolfe, of Medina. He also leaves 13 grandchildren, Alex, Faith, Phoebe, James Keith, Shelby, Alan, Macy-Kate, Laney, Kaylee, Logan, Brody, Tanner, Grady, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
