Rita Lanell Dugger

1944-2019

Rita Lanell Dugger, 74, of Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, February 12, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, February 16 in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Tracy McDaniel officiating. An Eastern Star service was held before the funeral service. Burial followed at the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers who served are Lavon Yoder, Phillip Yoder, Eli Yoder, Wayne Yoder, Jesaias Yoder and Abe Borntreger.

Ms. Dugger was born July 27, 1944 in Buena Vista, to the late Lemuel Columbus Longmire and Oneita Willodean Eubank Longmire. She was a retired factory worker for Caterpillar and a member of OES #180 and the New Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Bo” Dugger and one sister, Pat Wakefield.

She is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Al) Nevills, and one son, Tom (Sigi) Dugger, both of Huntingdon. She also leaves three grandchildren, Ashlie Cotton, Thomas Dugger, Jr., Brendan Chase Dugger and six great-grandchildren, Andrew Cotton, Matthew Cotton, and Ashton Cotton, Thomas Dugger III, Aloura Dugger and Bella Dugger.
