Plentovich shines in Lithuianian basketball league

Savannah Plentovich, daughter of a former McKenzian, seems to be feasting on the competition in the Lithuianian women’s professional basketball league.

Plentovich, a guard for the KK Siauliu Siauliai team, scored 26 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in a 66-64 playoff win over Kauno Aistes-Lsmu to even the series at a game apiece. The totals were season/career bests for the Gardner-Webb standout.

The effort eclipsed a previous season/career-best 23 points and seven rebounds in another playoff game on March 10 in a 77-70 loss to Kibirkstis.

Savannah and her twin sister, Carley, were starting guards for Gardner-Webb, graduating in 2020. Savannah averaged 11.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while suiting up for the Bulldogs.

She is the daughter of Crystal Powell Plentovich, formerly of McKenzie.
