Mary Othene Mann, 83, of Hollow Rock, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 14, in the chapel of the Bruceton Funeral Home with Robert Simmons officiating. Burial followed at McAuley Cemetery near Buena Vista.
Mrs. Mann was born July 5, 1937, in Huntingdon, to the late Otha L. Smothers and Lillie M. Higdon Smothers. She was a retired beautician, the retired owner of Othene’s Restaurant and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Harold Mann.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Carter (David Thompson), of Huntingdon, and Pam (Michael) Moore, of Bruceton; a son, Kenny (Barbara) Chandler, of Hollow Rock; a sister, Stella Martin, of Smyrna; seven grandchildren, Shelia, Marla, April, Kim, Candace, Sandy, and Bryan, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Tommy Scott, Charlie Massey, David Thompson, Bryan Cook, Jordan Neuenschwander, and Shane Blaski.
