Joseph Earl Townsend, 67, of Buena Vista passed away Sunday, August 21 at his home. A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 2pm till 6pm at Bruceton Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen.
Mr. Townsend was born on October 1, 1954, in Paris to the late James Townsend and Battie Jean Scott Townsend. He was a 20-year retired police officer for the Town of Hollow Rock and served 10 years in the TN State Guard. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister; Lori Ann Fry.
He is survived by his wife; Dana Belinda Turman Townsend, of Buena Vista, they were married Oct. 1, 1996. Four daughters; Jo Anna Stallings of Camden, Amanda Gayle Joyner of Medina, Amanda Jean Turman of LaVergne, and Ganna Irene Vest of Buena Vista, 10 grandchildren; Alexis, Andrew, June, Rebekah, Graigan, Anna, Tori, Ayden, Kloie, and KK, and 1 great grandchild and one on the way.
