Janice Lorraine Foster
1950- 2023

Mrs. Janice Lorraine Foster, 73 of Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, January 24, at her home. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 27, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. With Hunter Jones officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Foster was born January 6, 1950, in Huntingdon. She was a graduate of Trezevant High School and played basketball at University of Tennessee Martin while pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She was a very active member of Eastview Baptist Church and was one of the founding members of the sign language program.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Danny Foster, her father, Lonnie Martin Murphy, and a brother, Lonnie Murphy. She is survived by a daughter, Jill Campbell (Jason) of Martin, a son, Nick Foster (Lindsey), her mother, Nancy Laverne (Rogers) Murphy, both of Huntingdon, two brothers, Ronnie Lynn Murphy (Wilma) and Marty Lane Murphy (Connie) both of Cedar Grove. She also leaves one grandson, J. P. Foster, who she loved dearly.

Pallbearers who served were Steven Murphy, Scotty Murphy, Frankie Murphy, Luke Foster, Kyle Noles, and Chad Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Tippitt, Bobby Stanfield, David Townsend, and Billy Tucker.
