James Allen

James “Jimmy” Allen, 58, of Huntingdon, passed Monday, Sept. 21, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m., at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery with Clint Ezell, Phillip Gulledge and Scott Carter officiating. Dilday-Carter Funeral Home of Huntingdon was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Allen was born Nov. 28, 1961, in Huntingdon, to the late DeTroy Allen and Lucille Campbell Allen.  He was retired from Proctor & Gamble and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Allen; two sons, Jacob (Brittney) Allen, of Jackson, and Jordan Allen, of Huntingdon; a sister, Debbie (Mark) Clark, of McKenzie; father and mother-in-law, Edward (Loretta) Harris, of Huntingdon; a sister-in-law, Joy (Rusty) Ross, of Huntingdon; a brother-in-law, Lee (Beth) Harris, of Huntingdon; several nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends; and a loving Church family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Adam Carter Memorial Fund or Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 1012 Huntingdon, TN 38344 and in the memo line put which Fund.
