Irene P. Cole
1923-2022

Irene Parker Cole passed away Friday, December 16, at her home in Bruceton. Services were held December 18, at Bruceton First United Methodist Church with Steve Whitworth officiating. Burial followed at Prospect Cemetery.

She was born July 4, 1923, in Benton County, to the late Wyly and Annie Yates Parker. She was a retired operator clerk for L&N Railroad. She was the oldest living member of Bruceton First United Methodist Church, where she served as treasury of the U.M.W. for many years. She loved God, her family and friends. She loved to travel, seeing all the different countries and meeting new people.  In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Orville Cole; and two brothers, Frank and Shannon Parker.


She is survived by one son, Lynn (Suzie) Cole of Camden; two brothers, John and Steve Parker, both of Bruceton; two sisters, Dora Dean Pierce of Etowah, and Bobbye Presson of Union City; Three grandchildren  six great-grandchildren, Addison and Brenna Caldwell, Molly Hunter Mason and Elias, Alex and Eleni Cole.
