Fraud
- On September 6, Cameron Malone came to the Police Department to file a report, he stated that on September 3rd, he went to the ATM at first bank located on East Main Street and when he used the ATM, he left his card in the machine when he puled off. Later, that day he got a Fraud Alert from his bank the TVA Credit Union, at that time was when he noticed his card was missing. He cancelled his card at that time but was unable to prevent the person from taking the money off already, the person used his card six different times all at different locations adding up to a total of $435.92. On video at Walmart and Dollar General, Officer Brad Allen was able to identify her as Alyssa Burnett, 31 and the male as William Bunch, 31. Officer Allen was able to secure 14 warrants, 7 for Ms. Burnett and then another 7 for Mr. Bunch for fraudulent use of a debit card. Officer Allen was able to get the warrant signed and went to Moody Street to serve the warrants on Mr. Bunch and Ms. Burnett. They both were taken into custody and transported to Carroll County Jail.

Multiple Charges
- Stephen M. Coste, 31 out of Buena Vista was charged with a DUI first offense, speeding doing 70 in a 45, and License requirement for not having a motorcycle endorsement. His bong was set at $5,000.
On September 3rd, Mr. Coste was in physical control of 1998 black Honda motorcycle when he was stopped for speeding and the officer observed the driver swearing back and forth within the lane while increasing his speed to 70 mph in a 45-speed limit zone. Officer Ezell initiated his blue lights in attempt to stop the driver who kept going for over a mile coming to a stop finally near HWY 22. Dispatch conformed Mr. Costs did not have an endorsement for the motorcycle he was in control of, upon contact with the driver, the officer noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. The officer stated that Mr. Coste’s speech was slowed, and he was unsteady on his feet. The defendant performed very poorly on the standard field sobriety test. Mr. Coste stated that he only had one beer in the last hour and maybe three total al day, the officer also observed a bracelet from a local bar on his wrist, the defendant did submit to a blood test at the Baptist memorial ER in Huntingdon.

DUI, Violation
- Mary A. Williams, 61 out of Huntingdon, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and violation of implied consent law.
On August 31st, Dispatch received a call about a vehicle that was driving at excessive speeds and has crashed out and struck a tree behind the old Regions Bank. Upon arrival, Officer Patton contacted Mary Williams, who was standing outside of the driver’s side of the vehicle and very unsteady on her feet, she was very insistent about “the other car” had hit her. The officer could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming off her person. When asked if she had anything to drink prior, she stated she only had two beers. Ms. Williams was cleared by EMS but presented a doctor’s statement that she had stating she has a disability associated with her hip, thus the standardized field sobriety test was not performed. Ms. William’s also failed to provide an adequate sample for the EC/IR II Intoximeter to register. Per standard protocol, the inadequate breath sample was treated as a refusal.

Drug Violation
- On August 24th, Keyshun Ivory Hoard, of Murray Lane in Huntingdon, was in control of a 2016 Silver Dodge Journey when Officer Labe Ezell observed him speeding, doing 69 in a 55-mph zone. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, a total of 20 separate bags of various weights of marijuana totaling over a ¼ of a pound, measuring tray, 3 THC Vape Cartridges, $580.00 in twenty-dollar bills, as well an unmarked blue pill bottle with 10 unmarked capsules that contained a substance that field tested positive for cocaine. Mr. Hoard was arrested and charged with possession on sch. VI and sch. II with intent, drug paraphernalia, and speeding (69/55). The money was also seized by HPD. Mr. Hoard did state to Officer Ezell, that the substance inside of the capsules was supposed to be Anavar, a schedule III-controlled substance.

Criminal Trespassing
- On September 6th, 911 Dispatch received a call about a person at the Billy Carey Memorial Park. Upon Officer Brad Allen’s arrival, he spoke with Cathy Fitzgerald and told her that she was being arrested for criminal trespassing. On September 4th, Ms. Fitzgerald was told she had 24 hours to leave the park, or she would be charged with criminal trespassing.

Leaving Scene of Accident
- On September 6th, around 11:30 A.M the defendant Linda Lewis, 89 out of McKenzie was operating a white Chevy Cavalier in the Walmart parking lot. Mrs. Lewis struck a parked vehicle in the rear causing significant damage on both vehicles. Walmart Loss Prevention Officer Joe Lowe asked Mrs. Lewis to stay until Law enforcement arrived but she refused. Officer Ethan Parham made contact with Mrs. Lewis on the by-pass near 22 North. The defendant was still driving the vehicle even though the rear driver side tire was blown and, on the rim, still. Traffic was backed up approximately a mile and a concerned citizen driving a dump truck backed the defendant from traveling any further on till the officer could turn around and navigate through the backed-up traffic. Mrs. Lewis was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.

Simple Possession
- On September 5th, Officer Allen stopped a vehicle for speeding 71 in a 55-mph zone on HWY 22 North. During the stop, the driver Clinton Dale Mann, gave consent to search the vehicle. During the search, Officer Allen was able to locate a clear plastic bag which contained marijuana in the center console. Mr. Mann was cited into court and charged with simple possession of marijuana and speeding.

Multiple Charges
- On August 25th, Officer Verner conducted a traffic stop on Joseph Humphreys Jr out of Bruceton. Mr. Humphreys was in physical control of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix in Huntingdon and pulled over for speeding (68/55). During a consent search of the vehicle and Mr. Humphreys person, a small container of THC, THC Cartridge, and two vape pens were discovered. These offenses did occur in Carroll County.
