Frances Smith

1934-2020

Frances Smith, 85, of Hollow Rock died Friday, Jan. 24, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center.

Frances retired from the Holley Carburetor Plant where she worked for 20 years. After retirement, she worked at the Paris Laundromat located on Mineral Wells Ave. She enjoyed working with her husband on the family farm. In her younger years, she bowled as a hobby. Frances was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church in Vale.

Born Nov. 15, 1934, in Henry Co., she was the daughter of the late Lucian Dolan and the late Kate Wright Dolan.

She was married to James Leonard Smith Oct. 29, 1955, who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 1985.

Survivors include her daughter, Joan (Carl) Wallace of Huntingdon and a nephew, Robert Smith of Sevierville.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Randall Leonard Smith and a sister, Marilyn Faye Dolan.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. and continue Monday, Jan. 27, after 10 a.m. until the service. Her funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Whitworth officiating.

Pallbearers for the service are Gary Wright, Elbert Fields, Brad Fields, Don Norwood, Grant Norwood, and Ronnie Bennett.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Vale.

The family would like to say a special “Thanks” to the staff of Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center who took such good care of Ms. Frances.
