EXPANDED W/ PIC Betty Hollowell Johnson 1944-2020

Betty Hollowell Johnson, 76,
passed away peacefully on
Thursday, April 2. At her
request, Betty will be laid to
rest in the family plot in
Carroll Memorial Gardens in
Huntingdon. The family will
hold a Celebration of Life
memorial – date and location
to be determined and
announced at a later time. In
lieu of flowers, the family
respectfully requests
memorial contributions be
mailed to Muscular
Dystrophy Association, 2310
Parklake Drive, Suite 375,
Atlanta, GA 30345 or online

donate.
Betty had lived in Tennessee
most of her life, graduating
from high school in
Trezevant. She retired from
the United States Postal
Service after 30 years of
service. Betty moved to
Houston County in 2010 to
be near her son and his
family. She moved to The
Lodge in Warner Robins as
her health declined. Betty
was happy there with many
special friends and
caregivers. She was preceded
in death by her parents,
Chester and Ida Hollowell;
her brothers, Elvis Hollowell,
Oneal Hollowell, Dwain
Hollowell; and her sister and
brother-in-law, Dortha and
Raymond Wilson.
Left to cherish the memories
they made with Betty are her
loving and devoted son and
daughter-in-law, Marcus and
Jeanea Johnson of Perry; her
grandson and his wife, Joran

and Victoria Messer; her
granddaughters, Leah
Johnson and Anna Johnson;
her sister-in-law, Lexie
Hollowell; and many nieces,
nephews, great-nieces, and
great-nephews.
