Dorothy Sellers Martin

1929 – 2022

Dorothy Sellers Martin, 92, of Huntingdon passed away Monday, January 10 at her home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 12 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Doug Sellers and Steve Martin officiating. Burial followed in Carter’s Chapel Cemetery..

Mrs. Martin was born April 26, 1929 in Milan to the late Alvin Thomas Sellers and May Sellers. She was a member of Carter’s Chapel Methodist Church, she worked for ITT for over 20 years and H.I.S in Trezevant before she retired. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Fred J. Martin, four sisters; Mildred Gregg, Mattie Cole, Gertie Dunn and Hazel Sue Sellers, seven brothers; Ray Sellers, Billy Sellers, Arthur Williams, Dean Sellers, Thomas Sellers, George Sellers and James Sellers.

She is survived by a son; Steve Martin of Huntingdon, two sisters; Shelby Laws of Evernest, Ill. and Nellie Myers of Cedar Grove.  She also leaves three grandchildren; Jason Martin (Daralyn), Lee Martin (Dianne) and Matt Martin, four great grandchildren; Caleb Martin, Jaycan Martin, Olivia Martin and Jayana Martin.

Pallbearers who served were David Malone, Matt Martin, Lee Martin, Jason Martin, Caleb Martin and Jaycan Martin.  Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Martin, Jeff Sellers and Harold McLain
