Dorothy J. Holladay

Dorothy Jean Holladay, 81, of Huntingdon, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, at her home. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 4, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel at Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon with David Beecham and Bobby Beecham officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Congregational Cemetery.
Mrs. Holladay was born July 29, 1939, in Bargerton, to the late Walter Jones and Ruby Neisler Jones. She ran a child care center at her home for many years and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Lexington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Audrain Holladay, and a daughter, Lonna Holladay.
She is survived by a daughter, Wendy (Steve) Price, of Huntingdon; six sisters, Virginia Coleman, of Lexington, Hazel Thornton, Marie McBroom, Evelyn (Mack) Jones, and Nell McClearen, all of Cedar Grove, and Sue (Ronald) West, of Lavinia; a brother, Wayne (Francis) Jones, of Humboldt; and two grandchildren, Heather and Adam Price.
Pallbearers who served were Larry DePriest, Edwin Meggs, Tim Jordan, Dell Ezell, Randy Sykes, and Bud Ricketts.
