Paul A. Cawthon

1952-2022

Paul Anthony Cawthon, 69, of Westport passed away on Tuesday, January 18 at his home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 22 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with Chase Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Jamison Cemetery.

Mr. Cawthon was born on August 11, 1952, in Bruceton, to the late Benjamin Cawthon and Olivia Hilliard Cawthon. He entered the US Army at the age of 19 and retired after 22 years. He retired from CSX Railroad
as a tamper operator after 36 years and was a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife; Betty Cawthon of Westport, one daughter; Dawn (David) Marlin of Clarksburg, two sons; Jerome (Amanda) Cawthon of Jackson and Josh (Natasha) Cawthon of Westport, one sister; Hilda (Chuck) Wallace of Huntingdon, and seven grandchildren: Meaghan Marlin, Hayden Marlin, Nate Cawthon, Jake Cawthon, Dawson Marlin, Max Cawthon, and Bear Cawthon.

Honoring Mr. Cawthon as pallbearers will be; Jerome Cawthon, Josh Cawthon, David Marlin, Jake Cawthon, Jeff Brawner, and Russell Orr. Honorary pallbearers will be;  Meaghan Marlin, Hayden Marlin, Dawson Marlin, Max Cawthon, Bear Cawthon, Burbon Sullivan, and Danny Patterson.
