Martha J. Craig

Martha Jane Craig, 66, of Hollow Rock, passed away Wednesday, May 19, at Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 23, at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bud Ricketts officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Camden.
Ms. Martha was born May 8, 1955, in Carroll County to the late Lester Junior King and Opal Mae Thomas King.  She was married in 1986 to Billy Wayne Craig. She retired after a 20-plus year career as an LPN, last working for Life Care Center of Bruceton-Hollow Rock. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Benton County. Martha was extremely interested in her family tree and ancestry. She enjoyed gardening, canning tomatoes and other vegetables from her garden. The love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was more than just a mother/grandmother love, but a force. A force given to each and every one of us to always have. Her teaching moments were definitely unforgettable whether it was life lessons, canning, telling us right from wrong, or simply playing Rook! She had a way with words and her wisdom will be carried with us until the day we all stand together in the glory of the Lord. She loved watching the grandchildren grow and become beautiful and strong young adults. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother as she did all she could in making sure her family was well provided for. She had a heart of gold and a smile brighter than diamonds. She was the most caring woman, and it was an honor to have her as a mother/grandmother. The Lord blessed our lives by making us a part of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Craig of Hollow Rock; daughter, Krystal Craig of Hollow Rock; two sons, Kevin Thompson of Huntingdon, and Damon (Jessica) Thompson of Huntingdon; one stepson, Jamie Craig of Bruceton; five grandchildren, Knoa Thompson, Turner Grace Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Macy Thompson, and Kodie Craig; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Knoa Thompson, Ted Craig, Darrel Craig, Jamie Craig, John Schwartz, Jimmy Spears, and Steve Daniels.
