29 indictments handed down by Grand Jury

The Carroll County Grand Jury handed down 29 indictments when it met for its September term recently  in Carroll County Circuit Court. Of the felonies, three were sealed or secret indictments.

Those indicted and and their charges were:

Charles Joseph Baker – robbery and aggravated assault;

Joseph Alexander Butero – three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, domestic assault and casual exchange (adult/minor: Schedule I);

• Mary Cathleen Decker – theft of merchandise ($2,500 – $10,000), casual exchange and meth (possess or casual exchange);

• Christopher Dale Frederick – two counts of burglary, theft of property ($2,500 – $10,000) and theft of property ($1,000 – $2,500);

• Joel Shane Fry – two counts of burglary, two counts of theft of property ($2,500 – $10,000), vandalism ($2,500 – $10,000) and theft of property ($10,000 – $60,000);

• Gerald L. Fuzzell – assault (bodily injury) and allowing dog to run at large;

• Jonathon Wayne Goodrum – two counts community service violation, residential and work restrictions, tampering with evidence and intentional tampering, removal, vandalism to device;

• Dylan Wayne Gorth – possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities, casual exchange and Schedule VI drugs: mfg, del, sell, possess;

• Kayla Brooke Hampton – possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities and meth: mfg, deliver, sale, possess with intent;

• Misty Gail Hill – meth: mfg, del, sale, possess with intent; two counts of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities; casual exchange; light law: motor vehicle and meth: possess or casual exchange;

Jennifer Jordan – evading arrest;

• Trey Dashaun Mitchell – aggravated burglary (habitation), theft of property ($1,000 – $2,500) and resist stop, arrest, search (no weapon);

• Michael Edward Newbill Jr. – three counts of theft of merchandise (shoplifting), evading arrest, driving while license revoked and reckless endangerment (deadly weapon involved);

• Stephen Lee Owen – theft of property ($2,500 – $10,000);

• Billy Dwayne Pace – possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities and meth: mfg, deliver, sale, possess with intent (drug-free zone);

Lauren Brooke Rich – meth: mfg, deliver, sale, possess with intent;

Leundra Robinson – driving while license revoked, seat belt: 16-17 (first offense), possession of a weapon (convicted felony drug offense) and possession of a handgun (convicted felon);

Mark Nile Russell – sexual battery and aggravated burglary (habitation);

Joseph Matthew Sellers – evading arrest: flight (vehicle);

Jennifer Elaine Seymour – tampering with evidence, meth: mfg, deliver, sale, possess with intent and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities;

Desmond Jamond Stewart – aggravated assault on first responder, evading arrest: flight (vehicle) and reckless endangerment (deadly weapon involved);

Tracy Carzell Taylor – driving while license revoked; possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities; possession of a weapon (convicted felony drug offense); Schedule VI drugs: mfg, del, sell, possess and meth: mfg, deliver, sale, possess with intent;

Blake Mathew Todd – burglary and theft of merchandise ($2,500 – <$10,000);

Elijah Paul Williams – two counts of nonsupport and two counts of failing to comply with child support order and

Roy William Zinkel – aggravated burglary (habitation); two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to go armed; registration certificate must be carried; vandalism (up to $1,000); theft of property ($2,500 – $10,000); possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities and two counts of meth: mfg, deliver, sale, possess with intent.

Sealed indictments included the following felony charges: three counts of rape of a child, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, aggravated sexual battery and aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment (8 and under).

Those indicted must go through the circuit court process where they can plead to the charges or request a jury trial.
