Mrs. Yevonne Collins McCaslin, 84, of Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, January 11, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday January 14, at Clarksburg Church of Christ. Burial followed in Sellers Hill Cemetery, with Chase Sanders and Todd Buttrey officiating.
She was born October 30, 1938, in Clarksburg, to the late Bennie Collins and to the late Vera Springer Collins. She married on October 26, 1979, to James “Jack” McCaslin, who preceded her in death March 8, 2019, daughter, Celena Stanford; and one grandson, Randall Kirk. She was a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Alisa (Carl) Byars of Huntingdon and Robin (Todd) Buttrey of Yuma; two sons, Stephen Carter of Huntingdon and Mitchell (Melinda) Carter of Clarksburg; one step-son, Ronnie McCaslin; one sister, Bertie Lou Warbritton of Huntingdon; one son-in-law, Charles Stanford of Cedar Grove; 12 grandchildren, Laura (Van) Smith, Ashley (Jessie) Cooper, Paige (Anthony) Walters, Michael Stanford, Matt (Loren) Stanford, Kesha (Harrison) Tisdal, Amanda Hurley, Chad (Kim) Byars, Christy (Timmy) Swinford, Jamie (Chris) Sawyer, Bonn McCaslin, and James McCaslin; 27 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Honoring her as pallbearers were Michael Stanford, Matt Stanford, Timmy Swinford, Chris Sawyer, Junior Simmons, and Barry Dillahunty. Honorary pallbearers were Van Smith, Anthony Walters, Paxton Weir, Gavin Baucum, Harrison Tisdal, Chad Byars, Danny Brandon, and Terrance Thomas.
