Writer worried about the state of America

Dear Editor,

On March 10 with the world watching as Andrzej Duda, President of Poland and Kamala Harris, Vice President of The United States of America  faced reporters at a press conference one of the reporters asked if America was prepared to help with the refugee problem created with the millions fleeing Ukraine. When  President Poland did not respond, America’s VP Harris ( with her cackling  laugh) giggled and said “a friend in need is a friend in deed”. Never in my life have I felt so much  embarrassment for our country as I thought to myself ” well at least it can’t get any worse than this.” WRONG.  Fast forward to March 22 where  Ketanji Brown Jackson is being  considered to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court  that will be created when Justice Breyer retires later this year.  TN Senator Marsha Blackburn asked her to define a woman to which she replied “I can’t”.  Blackburn said “You can’t?” Jackson answered “Not in this context, I’m not a biologist”.  Of course anyone that keeps up with even the least amount of news knows she is trying to avoid the discussion of the transgender issue that is being pushed by progressives in education. However, with that being said, a highly educated judge such as Ms. Jackson should have been able to state the definition of a woman in some fashion. For starters one could open a Bible and Start reading Genesis 2.  For lack of space I will refrain from discussing the light sentences she’s (on record) handing out to child pornographers, sentences that don’t even meet the recommended times. That’s another story for another day.

Now before you start saying “none of this is worth getting upset over, it’s just politics as usual”, let me give you  more facts to mull over as we watch our government in action.  Of the more than 4 trillion dollar bailout to revive the American Economy because of  COVID last year less than 10% went to COVID. Bear with me and I will give you a few examples: $2.5 Million was used to hire new parking enforcement officers in Washington, D.C.; $5 million to Birmingham to support the 2022 World Games which feature niche sporting contests such as DanceSport, Kortball (don’t ask me what it is) and flying discs; $5 Million to pay off debts of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the US Senate in Boston; New Jersey allocated $15 Million for upgrades to sweeten the state’s bid to host the 2026 World Cup; $6.6 Million to replace irrigation systems at 2 golf courses in Colorado Springs; $140 Million for a high end Hotel in Broward County, FL and the list goes on.  If you don’t believe me,  try a few searches on Google.  My 1st stop was the Associated Press, from there you can find more papers and articles with more stories.

One Representative, Abigail Spanberger (D from Vermont) called this “outrageous” and “nuts”.  I am not nor have I ever claimed to be a highly educated woman (as is evidenced in my writing). On the other hand I AM a very upset citizen because what was once the greatest, strongest, most respected country in the world is losing it’s place daily. Our education system ranks lower every year. The politicians are wasting  my money and your money. They are ruining our country. Our justice system is in shambles. Don’t  take my word for any of this, but I am begging you to wake up and start taking an interest. Keep up with what is taking place in front of our very eyes as we inch closer and closer to $5 and $6 gas, as our groceries go up weekly along with everything else. Note the high price of oil is not just gasoline, but petroleum is used in so many other things it is raising prices on everything. I get more frightened  every week as I try to get by on my Social Security.  The sad truth is  I am only one of millions.

While doing  research on  the above information  I found a statement from Joe Biden saying more money is URGENTLY needed to pay for things related directly to the pandemic and without more funding the administration won’t be able to replenish depleted stockpiles of vaccines and therapeutics! Really?????  Politicians have wasted enough of our money to replenish all of the stockpiles.  Quit asking us for more.

Research verifies what I’ve written. Then tell your friends and neighbors to do the same. Most important, contact your elected officials and tell them enough is enough!  Demand they start doing what is best for this country.  I’ve said this before but I will keep repeating it,  we have sat on our collective butts far too long and allowed this to happen.  Now it’s time we stand up and speak out, our country is at stake.

God bless America and help us see we must turn back to YOU.
