Billy Murphy, 86, of Clarksburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, at his home. Graveside services will be held Sunday, Feb. 14, at New Hope Cemetery with George Avery officiating. The family has requested that those in attendance for the graveside service please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Mr. Murphy was born October 6, 1934 to the late Leon Murphy and Madelyn Massey Nesbitt. He was a retired car salesman, an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and an avid Clarksburg Basketball fan.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Morgan Nesbitt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June Murphy of Clarksburg; one daughter, Toni Murphy of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one sister, Mignon Edwards of Huntingdon; one brother, Barry Mac Murphy of Huntingdon; one grand-dog Mia; several very special nieces and nephews.
