Springer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jimmy \u201cJim\u201d Clark Springer, 74, of Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon is in charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Springer was born July 25, 1946, in Huntingdon, to the late James Springer and Gladys Gooch Springer.&nbsp; He worked at Bethel University as a Professor of sociology and was a long-time social worker at Carey Counseling Center.&nbsp; He was a successful sportsman and his favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, horse farrier, and field trial trainer for championship dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by a daughter, Lainie (Michelle) Springer, of New Paltz, N.
