{"id":12123,"date":"2020-02-18T15:49:18","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T15:49:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsleaderonline.com\/mills-held-without-bond-for-murder-of-wife\/"},"modified":"2020-02-18T15:49:18","modified_gmt":"2020-02-18T15:49:18","slug":"mills-held-without-bond-for-murder-of-wife","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsleaderonline.com\/mills-held-without-bond-for-murder-of-wife\/","title":{"rendered":"Mills held without bond for murder of wife"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Camden man is being held without bond in the Carroll County Jail on a first degree murder charge in the death of his wife, Ryan Bennett Mills, 29, of Bruceton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jason Mark Mills, 33, appeared in Carroll County General Sessions Court on Wednesday before Judge Larry Logan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mills answered a series of questions posed by the judge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the judge asked if he understood the charges against him, he replied yes. When Mills indicated that he would not be financially able to hire an attorney, Logan appointed public defender Billy Roe to represent him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bruceton Police Chief Ronnie Stewart, the Bruceton Fire Department answered a call to 151 South Spruce St. on Feb. 11 where they found a house completely engulfed in flames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon investigation, Ryan Mill\u2019s body was discovered near the front door.
