William Leonard Maddox

1947-2019

Mr. William Leonard “Bill” Maddox, 72, of Huntingdon passed away Saturday, August 17 at his home.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, August 19 at 11 A.M. at the Huntingdon Church of Christ. Interment followed in the Seller Hill Cemetery with Bro. Tim Parish and Dr. Walter Butler officiating the service.

Pallbearers who served were Jerry Morris, Jerry Nolen, Jimmy Hampton, James Marrison, Bud Thompson and Gary Pinner.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Huntingdon Church of Christ or a charity of your choice.

Mr. Maddox was born March 31, 1947 in Union City to the late Leonard Bacon Maddox and Margaret Laverne (Hogins) Maddox. He retired from the Baptist Hospital as a Medical Technologist, was very involved with the Relay for Life, and was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ, where he served as deacon.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary (Williams) Maddox, one daughter, Monica Maddox, two sons, Derrick Maddox and Devin Maddox (wife Becky) all of Bartlett, two sisters, Margaret Sue Pinner (husband Gary) of Brighten, Mary Lou Booth (husband Danny) of Memphis, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Brown of Bartlett. He also leaves one granddaughter, AnnaBeth Maddox and his care taker for several months, Auga Floyd.
