“This group of seniors has won more playoff games than any group in West Carroll history,” said West Carroll High School head football coach Josh Wolfe during the March 6 football banquet.
Wolfe pointed out that this past season was the third time these senior War Eagles have made it to the state playoffs, going as far as the quarterfinals in both 2019 and 2020.
“I always talk about leaving a legacy and that you’re going to be remembered for something,” said Wolfe. “I’m really proud of this group of seniors, and, hopefully, someday they can bring their kids back and say they started something.”

WCHS senior players include Deven Rader, Dylan Cox, Tylor Smith, Cody Wildridge, Jack Barrow, Jacob Blankenship, Dakota Saunders, Timothy Gilford, Grant Green, Nick Blankenship, Jesse Mounts, Kilan Emerson, and Kaleb Brittain. The coach also recognized senior managers Ashley Hughes and Virginia Knott.
Wolfe also presented team awards and recognized those players receiving All-Region, All-West Tennessee, and All-State honors.
